| 50 Ways to make $1.00 a day | | Hello everyone I want to start a discussion on 50 ways to make a dollar a day now that seems more realistic if you could set yourself up to earn 50 dollars in about eight to ten hours working from home that would not be so bad to start while you are thinking of ways to learn how to make even more money. Does anyone have any Ideas? | |
| | If you have a brick, please list 50 ways to use it . | | I saw an interesting question from a magazine: If you have a brick, please list 50 ways to use it.
for example, you can carry it on the top of your head to train your sence of balance...
I feel it is really hard to list 50 ways, the best record which I know is 30 ways. please just list as more as you can.

| 50 ways to save your life on a motorbike | | 1. Assume you’re invisible
Because to a lot of drivers, you are. Never make a move based on the assumption that another driver sees you, even if you’ve just made eye contact. Bikes don’t always register in the four-wheel mind.
2. Be considerate
The consequences of strafing the jerk du jour or cutting him off start out bad and get worse. Pretend it was your grandma and think again.
3. Dress for the crash, not the pool or the prom
Sure, Joaquin’s Fish Tacos is a 5-minute trip, but nobody plans to eat pavement. Modern mesh gear means 100-degree heat is no excuse for a T-shirt and board shorts.
4. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst
Assume that car across the intersection will turn across your bow when the light goes green, with or without a turn signal.
5. Leave your ego at home
The only people who really care if you were faster on the freeway will be the officer and the judge.
6. Pay attention
Yes, there is a half-naked girl on the billboard. That shock does feels squishy. Meanwhile, you could be drifting toward Big Trouble. Focus.
7. Mirrors only show you part of the picture
Never change direction without turning your head to make sure the coast really is...

| Do you "act out" what you have read?? | | Okay mylotters, this one is for my magazine readers....When you read an article in a magazine do you act it out? Let me explain...Recently I was reading Cosmo and on one of the beginning pages there was a letter from a Cosmo readers that stated that her and her guy turned a Cosmo article "50 Ways to Touch Him There" (Sept 08 issue) into a game for them. She said they both found new things they enjoyed that she wouldn't have been brave enough to try out of the blue on her own. I personally have never had the opportunity to act out anytihng out of a magazine with a signifigant other...but I do read with my friends and do the quizzes and what not found in many magazines. So my question to magazine readers is...how often, if ever, do you do exactly this? Do you play out things in the magazines you read? Whether it be with girlfriends, boyfriends, whoever? Do you find this fun and have you benefited from it in the long run? (example- have you learned new tricks of any trade to wow you partner?) | |
| | Food Network Magazine | | I don't often read magazines, not because I don't like them but because I rarely have the time. An alumni from cooking school that I've become very good friends with gave me a subscription to the Food Network Magazine for Christmas and I have now received my second issue. (Its printed 6 times per year) If you are a "foodie" I highly recommend this mag. It is definately collectable and offers great recipes, in fact its almost like having a cookbook. It is done in high quality gloss which is nice because if you're anything like me...a very messy cook,,the pages can be wiped off if you get stuff on them while cooking. There are lots of great interviews with world class chefs as well as all the chefs we know and love from the network. Its not loaded with advertisements, which is a treat and it has pull out mini cookbooks too. This month it is for pizzas, last month it was 50 ways to make mashed potatoes..lots of different, interesting recipes! I'm really impressed with this mag, (obviously!) and recommend it to all you cooks out there, novice or advanced. I dont think you would be dissapointed..No, they're not paying me to say all this!! | |
