Talk about the magic in your life!| what is your favourite all time movie??? | | Its took me ages but my fave all time movies are Escape to witch mountain, I used to watch it over and over when i was a child and sometimes i still secretly watch it lol!, But recently i watched the film twilight and totally fell in love with it!!! I dont know what it was about that pacific movie but..... It was just brill, Im not a soppy person and im normally the one that cringes at the romance movies but i gove twilight 10 stars!!!! | |

Did you see the original movie from the 70's? I remember seeing Escape to Witch Mountain and Return to Witch Mountain when I was in Elementary School. I am always leery about remakes, but my daughters assure me this one is wonderfully made. Are they right? | |
| | Reminiscing, kids and movies | | DH and I have been going to the movie store and renting some older videos for our kids to watch. Things that we loved when we were kids. Escape to Witch Mountain, The Muppet Movie, and Short Circuit just to name a few. The kids absolutely love them, as much as we did (and still do!)
Short Circuit was one of the funniest for them to watch. Without prompting, the kids picked up the SAME phrase we did when we saw it. "Hey Laser Lips... Your Momma was a SNNNOW Blower!" They repeat that everywhere. We even had to have a sleepover so the boys in my son's class knew what he was talking about! Now, there is about 6 little 2nd graders quoting the movie. LOL!Have you movie reminisced with your children? Do you find them quoting the same things you did? Pick up on the same actions? | |

She was the little girl in the show Nanny and the Professor and also the Escape to Witch Mountain movies. She had long, shiny blonde hair and I just thought she was so cool! | | Near escape... | | Just a couple of days ago, a airbus crashed and 159 people died.. And now it's a near escape for another airbus.. and 180 passengers were saved....
This was caused by a sudden burst of the tires of that vehicle.. But thank god that no one got heart... It would have been a disaster... | |
| | Escape! | | So the roomie's nephew was here and we did some jobs around the house that having a strong young man helped to have.One of the last of these was taking the broken ac out of my bedroom window and putting the screen back in.We got it in and it looked secure, so we though we were in the clear.Then, when we got home from taking the nephew home, the roomie spotted a cat outside.Well, Gabby is a slippery cat, and we thought that maybe she'd gotten away from the other roomie before she went to work.Then the roomie spotted another cat outside...Uh-oh! Sure enough,they had pushed the screen out!Well, I look out the window and see Pong nosing around outside and Tony out too.Great! (NOT!)So, I go out and get the roomie to come out front with me. I catch Pong, hand her off to the roomie, then I catch Ping and do the same. I knock on the next door neighbor's house and tell her we've had another escape and can I get in her back yard.I catch Tony in her greenhouse and have the roomie come around back and had him over the back fence.I look around but don't see any more, so, just in case, I give the neighbor our phone number. | | What has been your escape in life? | | Basketball has always been my escape in life. Every time I feel stressed out in my life or when there's an adversity I'm going through I always make time for myself to take oxygen and condition myself as I look for answers and solutions. You know, the times wherein you know to yourself that you should not keep on thinking of a certain problem because you know that when you focus on it too much you tend to put aside other responsibilities you have. That's how I do it, like when I have family problems, I mean you cannot solve a certain family problem in one click right? There's always a process to solve it, and as I think for a solution I see to it that I condition my mind, escape from reality a bit and that is where basketball gets into to take charge of me for a while. | | How do you think a director can make a typecast actor escape from it's image | | Being a typecast is one of the biggest struggles of some actors and actresses because its hard for them to escape from a certain image because they were stuck playing the same freaking role forever. There was this actress who was playing villain roles all her life, do you think its possible to make her break the barriers and let her take a lead role. There will be this actor who used to be a childstar and he wanted to escape from that cute image. There is actor who was type cast in comedies but all his life he wanted to do a drama.
